MODERN AMERICAN CUISINE

Kalorama, the exclusive neighborhood drenched in history and studded with many of Washington’s most notable embassies, has a new fine dining concept, Annabelle.  This intimate oasis, created by Ashok Bajaj, features modern American cuisine with a menu crafted by the former White House chef Frank Ruta who served three presidents. His menu at Annabelle showcases retro classics that reflect the restaurant’s inviting new interior.

From the intimate Garden Room, to the art-filled Gallery Room on the second floor with its baby grand piano, every detail of this unique setting makes it a perfect dining destination. Enjoy the art deco-inspired, 10-seat Bar Barlow, named for the lauded poet Joel Barlow, who dubbed the area Kalorama for its beautiful view. Here guests will enjoy craft cocktails and a wine list that invites exploration, before delving into Executive Chef Ruta’s a la carte menu. His fare is artfully pleasing and sourced from the best both nationally and locally.
